This study assesses the aftermath of the Communist heyday in Malaya in the 1950s, by analysing Communist activity in Peninsular Malaysia, Malaysian Borneo and Singapore in the first five years of the 1960s. From research amongst government officials, members of legal political parties and undercover activists, the author discovers that many of the frustrations that gave rise to the earlier Communist insurgency have not gone away and identifies the potential for further unrest. 268 pages with an index.
